Erasmus

Arriving in Málaga on September 6th, 2026, our group of 10 students and 2 teachers immediately felt the warm, salty air of the Costa del Sol, kicking off a two-week journey where every weekday began with a professional internship at a previously chosen farm. We spent our mornings immersed in Spanish farm work, practicing Spanish and learning the intricacies of the local economy, which gave our days a serious, productive rhythm. Once the internships ended, our afternoons transformed into cultural exploration, starting with a bus trip to a mango and avocado orchard where we learned about all the difficulties of owning such a demanding farm, followed by a visit to the Nerja caves where we observed various stalactites and wall paintings. On another day we went underwent a gruelling but rewarding hike up to the Castle of Gibralfaro for panoramic views of the port and the fortified walls snaking down the hill. This entire trip was not only about work but also about exploring the history of the city and culture all around us. Before we left, we had to visit one of the local restaurants for a nice group dinner which after which we went to see a beautiful although a bit obstructed sunset over the city.
